The main difference from this device and the previous one I had is the thermal carafe. Although I didn’t give it very much notice at 1st, what I found was that I no longer had that brewer heating issue. What I mean is that in past times, anytime I had my coffee a longer time after it was in the carafe, it started to taste as if it has been boiled repeatedly.
